This trainee role supports video production for GCN’s cycling channels, working within the GCN Creative Team. It’s designed for early-career filmmakers looking to develop practical skills in filming, editing, and storytelling within a professional cycling media environment.

You’ll assist on studio and location shoots, contribute to editing and short-form content, and learn end-to-end video production alongside experienced creators.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting with filming and editing video content for GCN channels
  • Supporting shoots in studio, on location, and outdoors
  • Helping with camera setup, lighting, audio, and equipment
  • Assisting with edits, thumbnails, and short-form social content
  • Contributing ideas to content planning and creative discussions
  • Learning production workflows from concept through to publication

What you’ll need

  • Strong interest in cycling and video creation
  • Basic experience with video editing software (e.g. Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
  • Some hands-on filming experience (education, personal projects, or social content)
  • Willingness to learn and work across all aspects of production
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Confidence riding a road bike and filming outdoors
