This trainee role supports video production for GCN’s cycling channels, working within the GCN Creative Team. It’s designed for early-career filmmakers looking to develop practical skills in filming, editing, and storytelling within a professional cycling media environment.
You’ll assist on studio and location shoots, contribute to editing and short-form content, and learn end-to-end video production alongside experienced creators.
What you’ll be doing
- Assisting with filming and editing video content for GCN channels
- Supporting shoots in studio, on location, and outdoors
- Helping with camera setup, lighting, audio, and equipment
- Assisting with edits, thumbnails, and short-form social content
- Contributing ideas to content planning and creative discussions
- Learning production workflows from concept through to publication
What you’ll need
- Strong interest in cycling and video creation
- Basic experience with video editing software (e.g. Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
- Some hands-on filming experience (education, personal projects, or social content)
- Willingness to learn and work across all aspects of production
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Confidence riding a road bike and filming outdoors
