Walk Wheel Cycle Trust (formerly Sustrans) delivers active travel programmes across the UK, including the National Cycle Network. This role sits within the Delivery team for Scotland (SWNI), working with schools and local authorities to encourage walking, wheeling, and cycling.
The Role
The Project Officer will plan and deliver behaviour change and engagement projects that encourage active travel, working directly with schools, community groups, and local authorities across the Strathclyde region. The role is based in Glasgow on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities
- Deliver behaviour change and engagement projects that encourage active travel
- Plan and organise tools and projects that support partners to increase walking, wheeling, and cycling
- Build working relationships with schools, community groups, and local authorities
What you'll need
- 3 years' work experience, including experience working with community groups
- Knowledge of active travel and the barriers faced by underrepresented or disadvantaged communities
- Experience delivering workshops, presentations, and project work, with clear communication skills
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and workload management skills
- Ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children, young people, and adults
