British Cycling is seeking an Olympic Performance Pathways Manager to lead the Olympic World Class Programme within the Great Britain Cycling Team.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for identifying, developing, and progressing riders through the Olympic pathway, with the aim of delivering medal-winning performances at World Championships and Olympic Games, including LA 2028 and beyond.
The role sits at the heart of British Cycling’s high-performance system and offers a rare opportunity to shape the future of Olympic cycling in the UK.
About the Great Britain Cycling Team
The Great Britain Cycling Team is the most successful Olympic and Paralympic cycling programme in history. Working across seven cycling disciplines, the team supports athletes to achieve world-class performances while upholding British Cycling’s wider vision of inclusion, integrity, and social impact.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the Olympic World Class Programme and oversee rider progression through the Olympic pathway
- Provide strategic leadership across pathway programmes and operational management of the Olympic podium programme
- Manage and support coaching teams to deliver world-class development environments
- Align training, competition, and long-term athlete development plans
- Lead athlete identification, recruitment, transition, and deselection processes
- Track athlete progression and forecast future talent gaps
- Engage with key stakeholders, including parents, external coaches, and UK Sport partners
- Contribute as a senior member of the GBCT Strategic Leadership Team
- Ensure strong governance, compliance, and effective use of resources
