This apprentice mechanic role is ideal for a school or college leaver who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to build a career in the cycle industry. The role focuses on bike builds, servicing, and repairs, including high-end mountain bikes and e-bikes.
You’ll work in a busy workshop environment, learning directly from experienced mechanics and developing professional workshop skills.
What you’ll be doing
- Building new bikes to a high standard
- Servicing and repairing high-end bikes and e-bikes
- Supporting daily workshop operations
- Learning professional mechanical and safety standards
- Developing skills under the guidance of senior mechanics
Experience & training
- Previous experience is helpful but not essential
- Full in-house training provided
- Support through Cytech Level 2 and Level 3, leading to full qualification
What you’ll need
- Strong interest in bikes and mechanics
- Enjoyment of physical, hands-on work
- Ability to work well within a team
- GCSEs (or equivalent)
- Driving licence and own vehicle preferred, but not essential
