This apprentice mechanic role is ideal for a school or college leaver who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to build a career in the cycle industry. The role focuses on bike builds, servicing, and repairs, including high-end mountain bikes and e-bikes.

You’ll work in a busy workshop environment, learning directly from experienced mechanics and developing professional workshop skills.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building new bikes to a high standard
  • Servicing and repairing high-end bikes and e-bikes
  • Supporting daily workshop operations
  • Learning professional mechanical and safety standards
  • Developing skills under the guidance of senior mechanics

Experience & training

  • Previous experience is helpful but not essential
  • Full in-house training provided
  • Support through Cytech Level 2 and Level 3, leading to full qualification

What you’ll need

  • Strong interest in bikes and mechanics
  • Enjoyment of physical, hands-on work
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • GCSEs (or equivalent)
  • Driving licence and own vehicle preferred, but not essential
