The Role
Face-to-face fundraising on the National Cycle Network, recruiting supporters and donors for the charity's work on traffic-free routes. Shifts are typically five hours between 10:00 and 19:30, with flexible patterns available. This is an hourly-paid role with a bonus scheme, not commission-only.
Responsibilities
- Engage members of the public at locations on the National Cycle Network
- Recruit supporters and regular donors to the charity
- Explain plans to expand traffic-free routes
- Represent the charity professionally in public settings
- Work as part of a trained fundraising team
What you'll need
- Confidence starting conversations with strangers
- Resilience and self-motivation across a full shift
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather, often in green spaces
- Access to a bicycle to reach fundraising locations is an advantage
