This fixed-term role leads digital and social activity for the UK-hosted Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes Grand Départ in 2027. The position focuses on driving awareness of the event and shaping storytelling around its social impact across the UK.

You’ll work within the Brand and Engagement directorate, alongside British Cycling’s marketing and communications teams, and collaborate closely with the Content Marketing Lead.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting content planning, production, and publishing across Grand Départ 2027 channels
  • Helping shape and deliver the digital and social media strategy
  • Creating and publishing content across social platforms (graphics, video, captions, stories)
  • Leading community management, engaging audiences and moderating conversations
  • Working with social impact teams to identify and tell compelling stories
  • Using analytics and reporting to inform performance and recommendations
  • Contributing ideas for new formats, features, and campaigns
  • Supporting live event coverage, including occasional evenings and weekends (time off in lieu)

What you’ll need

  • 3–5 years’ experience in digital marketing and social media
  • Experience delivering activity across multiple channels (social, content, email, basic SEO)
  • Confidence creating and publishing social content across platforms
  • Community management experience, including handling sensitive topics
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop)
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience or interest in cycling is beneficial, but strong storytelling instincts and digital capability are more important.
