This part-time role supports the repair and maintenance of Zoomo’s e-bike and e-moped fleet in Birmingham. You’ll work in a customer-facing workshop environment, providing high-quality repairs for professional riders and supporting day-to-day workshop operations.
The role suits an experienced mechanic who combines strong technical ability with clear communication and customer service skills. Both junior and senior-level mechanics are considered.
What you’ll be doing
- Diagnosing and repairing e-bikes and e-mopeds
- Acting as a first point of contact for rider repair requests
- Managing booked appointments and handling walk-in repairs
- Explaining technical issues and repair options clearly to customers
- Processing repair jobs and related administration
- Supporting workshop organisation, safety, and cleanliness
- Working closely with the Head Mechanic and wider workshop team
- Providing occasional roadside assistance when required
What you’ll need
- Proven experience as a bicycle mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills (e-bikes or e-mopeds beneficial)
- Confident, customer-focused communication skills
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks
- Strong problem-solving approach
- Knowledge of workshop safety procedures
- Driving licence may be required
