This part-time role supports the repair and maintenance of Zoomo’s e-bike and e-moped fleet in Birmingham. You’ll work in a customer-facing workshop environment, providing high-quality repairs for professional riders and supporting day-to-day workshop operations.

The role suits an experienced mechanic who combines strong technical ability with clear communication and customer service skills. Both junior and senior-level mechanics are considered.

What you’ll be doing

  • Diagnosing and repairing e-bikes and e-mopeds
  • Acting as a first point of contact for rider repair requests
  • Managing booked appointments and handling walk-in repairs
  • Explaining technical issues and repair options clearly to customers
  • Processing repair jobs and related administration
  • Supporting workshop organisation, safety, and cleanliness
  • Working closely with the Head Mechanic and wider workshop team
  • Providing occasional roadside assistance when required

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience as a bicycle mechanic
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills (e-bikes or e-mopeds beneficial)
  • Confident, customer-focused communication skills
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks
  • Strong problem-solving approach
  • Knowledge of workshop safety procedures
  • Driving licence may be required
